The Need for the Project

This project is needed because there is a growing number of people within our local community that experience difficulties knowing how to prepare the right nutritional meals, suffering from obesity and other medical illnesses that require a specific dietary to help expedite their recovery process. We aim to tackle this issue by running a practical workshop that will enable participants to understand the levels of carbohydrate, protein and cholesterol stored in various food and how to maintain a healthy balance diet.

Project Outcome

This initiative will promote and encourage healthy eating amongst the people in our local community by providing them with the opportunity to participate in a practical cooking workshop where they will work together to tackle factors that cause obesity and malnutrition. Our project will allow participants to try out new activities such as food shopping in groups, budgeting, learning new cookery skills as well as improve their existing skills.
